Let’s Grow Together Facility
Expansion Update
On May 6, the KML Board of Directors made the decision to move forward with the full footprint of this facility.
Over 2,000 people have generously supported this project, resulting in a current total of $6.7M in gifts and pledges. Including borrowing that was approved by the General Board, we have $13.2M available for this project today.
To fully complete this project and purchase all necessary equipment, we need an additional $1.3M in gifts and pledges. (This includes approximately $500,000 to finish the classrooms and $800,000 in needed equipment and furnishings.) Our fundraising goal remains at $10M so that we can complete this project and limit future debt liability.
If our gifts and pledges fall short over the next 6-12 months, the Board of Directors will limit furniture and equipment purchasing and leave areas unfinished to make the full footprint of construction possible.
There has been some behind the scenes work going on to prepare for this large construction effort. Dirt should start moving sometime in June. The expected completion date of the facility is August 1 of 2025.
